In art gallery "Inter-chic" July 20 held a "round table" with participation of OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine to combat Trafficking Ambassador Vaidotas Verba and representatives of regional and local institutionsshould be involved in the implementation process model of social entrepreneurship as a tool for combating human trafficking. In Vinnitsa region the project is implemented by the regional administration. Executive partner is the NGO "Progressive Women". "Trafficking in human beings - is a complex phenomenon, and the effectiveness of the fightand with it, of course, depends on systematic approaches and interaction between government agencies and civil society. The vulnerability of the population to hit in trafficking, among others, of finding a better life both abroad and in their own country. Based in the project will create real social enterprisesand prospects for strengthening economic opportunities that will have a positive impact on other measures to combat human trafficking in Ukraine ", - said at a meeting with journalists, Ambassador Vaidotas Verba. The project is implemented with financial support from the governments of Canada and Norway and in close cooperation with the Special Representative and Coordinator OBSYE to combat human trafficking in Vienna. The presentation of goals, objectives and expected results of the project in Ukraine conducted National Project Manager Tatyana Rudenko. She said the goal is to create new economic opportunities for victims of trafficking and at-risk populations, including internally peremischepersons. It will also contribute to strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations active in combating human trafficking, to ensure sustainable provision of overcoming the problems associated with this phenomenon. To help achieve these objectives, the project supports the initiatives of NGOs in establishing social enterprises withmelting the source of funding of their activities in combating human trafficking. At the same time, set up social enterprises provide temporary employment for trafficking victims and vulnerable groups, including internally displaced persons. This, in turn, will give them the opportunity to gain work experience and professional skills,that will improve their position in the labor market. According to the results of the contest were determined four NGOs that pilotuvatymut own ideas of social entrepreneurship in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv and Lviv regions. These events were the first step towards the immediate establishment of social enterprises, small teplychtion of the economy in Kiev, small clothing company in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia student cafeteria and small workshop in Lviv. "All the projects we seem to be equally interesting - said Tatiana Rudenko.- Why canteen in the winery? - This will organize training beneficiaries in professions that are in demand in the labor marketand, in the cities and in regional centers.
