Festival " Chernihiv - my hometown "
began Festival of Culture and Arts "Chernihiv - my hometown", dedicated to the City Day and the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of Chernihiv oblast center from Nazi invaders started on September 16 in the regional philharmonic center festivals and concerts. Symbolically, the festivalstarted choral performance based on creativity Kotsiubynsky "I perelitav on the wings of song", since Sept. 17 marks 151 years since the birth of the classic of Ukrainian literature. Chernihiv Mayor Oleksandr Sokolov before the premiere performances of Chernihiv and welcomed visitors on holidays. He performed honorable mission and announcedon awarding the title of "Honorary Citizen of Chernihiv" People's Artist of Ukraine Anatoly skins and mayor (1992-2001) Vitaly Kosykh (posthumously). O.Sokolov presented the award V.Kosyh daughter - Natalia V.. The mayor stressed that V.Kosyh contributed to the socioeconomic development of Chernihiv with time becoming independent EnglisRaina, therefore deserve respect and recognition. Greeted the audience asked Head of Culture and Tourism, nationalities and religions Chernihiv Regional State Administration Irina Dolzhykova, Director of literary-memorial museum Igor M.M.Kotsyubynskoho Kotsyubinsky and directed the play, honored worker of culture and arts of Ukraineyiny Oleg Vasyuta. Festival of Culture and Arts "Chernihiv - my home town" will continue until 25 September.
