The European Parliament calls on Azerbaijan to release journalist Ismailov

The European Parliament adopted a resolution urging the Azerbaijani authorities to immediately release journalist Khadija Investigative Ismailov and several other activists, human rights defenders and lawyers. It is reported. MEPs call on the European Commission and Member States to give« strong common response to persecution in Azerbaijan » and to consider the « sanctions and visa bans on all politicians, bureaucrats and judges involved in the political persecution & raquo ;.
