In the Rivne region prosecutors react to violations of constitutional rights of citizens in carrying criminal penalties and applying enforcement measures
Since 2015 Rivne Oblast prosecutors conducted a series of comprehensive audits of compliance with laws and constitutional rights of detainees, prisoners and convicts in placesimprisonment and detention. Particular attention was paid to the observance of prisoners' rights in the institutions of state penal service and specialized agencies of internal affairs in accordance with European standards, the question of proper medical care, prevention of torture and other ill-treatment of them legisnnosti administrative detention and bringing citizens and illegal immigrants, ensuring their rights of defense, combating corruption among employees of institutions. The prosecutor's office provided a fundamental response to violations of the rights of detainees, prisoners and convicts and infringements of the law. Thus, the results of inspections prosecutors brought about200 instructions to charges were brought against 132 persons started three criminal proceedings, including one indictment against a person has already been considered by the court and entered into force. In particular, during the reviewing court indictment in relation to an employee of Rivne prison, prosecutors proved that last regularly received illegal advode from citizens for assistance in the transfer of persons detained in this facility prohibited items (money and mobile phones).
