Ukraine lifted its ban on the entry of foreigners with HIV-positive

According to the press service, July 22, 2015 the Ombudsman sent a letter to the minister of healthrov ’ i Ukraine to take measures to amend the list to eliminate discriminatory provisions and to bring it into line with international and European standards in the field of human rights. In response, the Ministry of Health reported that the order dated June 11, 2015 329 HIV as grounds for refusing to grant Mr.and immigration to Ukraine from the list of excluded. Amendments to the List took effect July 10, 2015, stressed the press service of Ombudsman. &Laquo; Thus, foreigners and stateless persons with HIV-positive status are guaranteed the opportunity to freely immigrate to Ukraine, look no excessive and unjustified obstacles official job placementployment etc & raquo ;, – said in a statement. According to the Ombudsman, the abolition of the ban appropriate for HIV-positive foreigners and persons without citizenship is a significant step forward in protecting human rights and combating discrimination against people living with HIV.
