Mayor Alex Kaspruk convene an extraordinary session on August 7 City Council, which is made to the issue of amendments to the city budget for 2015 in terms of allocation of funds for co-financing of the project "Improvingthe environmental situation in the basins of the Prut and Dniester through improved wastewater treatment system in Chernivtsi and Cahul 'obligations under the grant contract signed Chernivtsi City Council on Dec. 18, 2013. The project is implemented within the framework of the Joint Operational Programme "Romania - Ukraine - Moldova 2007-2013 ".Holovnym project partner is Chernivtsi City Council in collaboration with the Bukovyna center of reconstruction and development, Suceava county council (Romania) and District Council Drochia (Moldova). The main objective of the project is to improve ecological situation in transboundary river basins Prut and Dniester through the introduction of innovative approaches cleanispare wastewater and modernization of wastewater management in Chernivtsi and Cahul.
